Baseball Conference

I know this isn't a movie post, but it is still entertainment. If anyone is visiting New Orleans in November or lives here, The National World War II Museum is hosting a baseball conference. Tommy Lasorda is giving the keynote address. It should be a great event. For more information, on the baseball conference, click here.

Captivity and Ocean's 13

Although the reviews for Captivity were abysmal, I am a fan of Elisha Cuthbert and think she is generally a pretty good actress. Therefore, I went to see this movie Saturday morning. I should have listened to the reviews. It was really a gross movie and didn't make any sense.

Saturday night, I went to see Ocean's 13. It was nearly identical to the other Ocean's movies, but this had Al Pacino in a starring role. It was average at best.

Out of Town

I'll be out of town and will most likely miss License to Wed and Transformers. If anyone sees either of these movies, please post a comment. Have a great weekend!

Die Hard and Nancy Drew

With the summer movie season heading to the midway point, I would say the movies thus far have been somewhat of a disappointment. Although I wouldn't classify either Live Free or Die Hard or Nancy Drew typical summer blockbusters, both movies I believe should be considered two of the more entertaining movies that have come out.

On Friday, I went to see Live Free or Die Hard and I thought it was very good. Bruce Willis revived his John McClane role with the same flare as the 90's original. The actor from the Apple ("I am a Mac, I am a PC)") commercial was Willis' sidekick and did a great job.

Saturday, I went to see Nancy Drew and thought it was a lot more interesting that I expected. Julia Roberts niece stars in the movie and does a great job.
